At Bridging Bionics Foundation, we believe all individuals with neurological mobility impairments can live better through the use of advanced technology. We see a world using technology to optimize function and improve life for all individuals challenged with mobility impairments. This simple vision drives us to serve people through our unique program.
Our mission is to provide access to bionic rehabilitation technology for all individuals challenged with neurological mobility impairments. We serve individuals with neurological mobility impairments resulting from injury or disease, including: spinal cord injuries (paraplegia, quadriplegia), Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, Cerebral Palsy, and stroke. We work every day to be a bridge between advanced technology and those in need.
The goal of our neuro-rehabilitation program is to provide ongoing access to cutting edge technology for individuals with neurological mobility impairments. Regular therapy sessions are instrumental in reducing secondary complications as a consequence of paralysis, serving as a preventative healthcare measure, and playing a role in enhancing functional neuro-recovery.
The program utilizes expert, certified physical therapists, trainers and volunteer assistants, and is purposely facilitated in a non–clinical health club facility that promotes social interaction, inclusivity and wellbeing. In the three years we have been providing services we have supported over 75 clients, and currently schedule on average thirty therapy sessions per week. Demand for the program is growing with 92% of clients reporting improved health and fitness, and 100% improved mental and emotional wellbeing.
