The Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region (BGCPPR) has been serving and impacting thousands of lives since 1888 with a rich history being the oldest Club west of the Mississippi and the eighth oldest out of 4,400 Clubs worldwide. This year, we celebrate our 132nd anniversary of delivering nationally proven programs and unique experiences for the youth of the Pikes Peak Region. Our five Club locations are equipped to serve with one purpose: To empower every Club member, through safe and impactful experiences, to: graduate high school with a plan for college or career, contribute to their community and live a healthy life. BGCPPR is a non-profit youth development organization who serves at-risk, underprivileged and disadvantaged youth anywhere from 6-18 years old. We provide a safe place for youth after-school. Through our programs, our goal is to build self-esteem, character, and life skills in youth by providing hope and opportunity through quality programs and activities in a positive, safe environment. We offer a variety of programs within five core areas: Character and Leadership Development, Health and Life Skills, Education and Career Development, Sports, Fitness and Recreation, and the Arts. Our Youth Development programs are designed to educate and re-direct youth to be active, make healthy food choices, achieve academic success, encourage interest and careers in STEM, produce active and positive community involvement and ownership, improve self-esteem and relationships, strengthen decision-making skills, and create young leaders.
